I have been a client of PAC for over 28 years taking my high school band (Director of Bands for 32 years at Fountain Valley HS in Orange County, CA} every four years to Disney World and to the Bahamas on the Carnival Cruise Line. After retiring from teaching 38 years, I was asked by Paul Serra (PAC, Director of Orlando Programs) to be an escort for a dance team assisting them sailing Carnival Cruise out of Long Beach, CA. I had the pleasure of working as an “on-board personal coordinator” for Bands, Orchestras, Jazz Bands, Dance Teams, Choirs, and Guitar Ensembles on Carnival Cruises as their personal coordinator for 8 years with Carnival.

I’m excited working with Performing Arts Consultants as a top experienced booking agent providing my professional experience for students, directors, and travelers. My goal is to provide the best service and experience for the director or group trip planning coordinator with details and information. “Make it easy and fun” is my nature with everything I do and have been the “first guy called” in the past for repeat service with groups. As a Director of Bands, I coordinated over 300 of my own trips for my ensembles and worked closely with PAC when using their pro service as a high school director. After retirement in 2014 as an educator, I have been educating with travel and Planning from my experience.

I really enjoy seeing a project come together after providing fun and innovative ideas for groups traveling anywhere local, in the USA or to other countries. I am always happy to travel with the group for that personal connection and service adjusting requested detail if needed on the trip for a better experience.

Have you ever played an instrument?

Drums at age 6 and still playing today. I have played in all my school bands and even played with the Lawerance Welk Band for a 2-hour private party at the Hollywood Palladium at age 14, filling in for my private teacher (Welk’s Drummer) after cutting his hand. I was a snare drummer in the Disneyland Toy Solider Band for three years in the 1970’s. I performed and won the first DCI Championships in 1972 with the Anaheim Kingsmen Snare line. I continue playing mostly with Jazz Bing Bands.

What else do you enjoy doing?

I am an active adjudicator in So California, Nevada, and Utah for Marching Bands, Concert Bands, Orchestras, and Indoor Drum Associations. My favorite caption to judge is Music Effect.

Where do you enjoy traveling?

Camping on the West Coast. Taking cruises with my wife. We enjoyed Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, and Las Vegas.
