My name is Marty Griffin and I was a band director in New Jersey for 35 years, primarily as the Director of Bands and Coordinator of Fine Arts at Monroe Township High School. During this time, the MTHS Band became a premier program in New Jersey.

· 2016 New Jersey representative at the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor
· Wind Ensemble performance at the NJ State Band Gala in 2023, 2024 and 2025
· Percussion Ensemble crowned WGI Power East Regional Champions in 2023, 2024 and 2025
· Multiple performances at the NJMEA and All Eastern Conferences
· Numerous school trips, including Florida, California, Hawaii, Toronto, and Virginia.
Outside of education I have extensive experience as an adjudicator on a national level.

· Staff member for the 2022 Music for All Honor Band which performed in the Tournament of Roses Parade
Being an educator has afforded me the knowledge and experiences in traveling with numerous groups over the years. I look forward to assisting you in planning a memorable and rewarding experience for you and your students.
What travel story have you shared time and time again?
My trip to Japan involved a direct flight from Newark in coach!! I got very lucky and had the entire row to myself on both flights which were each 14 hours.
What sports team do you root for the most and why?
The NY Giants. I was able to perform at many playoff games and became huge fan after they won their first super bowl.
Which celebrity, living or dead, would you most like to grab coffee with?
Jerry Seinfeld since his show is my all-time favorite
Who is your favorite person to travel with and why?
My wife Suzanne. We always have an incredible time and enjoy looking for new destinations to explore.
